FOG AND RAIN TAKE ANOTHER TOLL ON STAFFORD

June 9, Westfield, MA--- Another week and yet another dilemma at Stafford Motor Speedway as once again, Mother Nature threw a punch at the track and won.  This week though it was fog.  But before the fog got to bad, the SK Lights were able to get their feature event in. 

  When the green flag flew Heather DesRochers, at the wheel of her black and pink Chevy, took the early lead.  Over the last two weeks, I have noticed that DesRochers has been able to start off strong but hasn’t been able to hold on to the burst of power.  On lap nine she lost the lead to Tony Santangelo. Once in the lead Santangelo and Neil Provost Jr. kept swapping the lead.  But, as usual, Chris Matthews was quietly making his way through the field.  After a late caution, Matthews was able to grab the lead and take down the win.   

  This coming Friday the other four divisions will be running double feature events.  As of right now I don’t know if the SK Lights will be running doubles or not.  I guess we all will have to find out together.  And hopefully Mother Nature will bring us a better weather day.
