Old School Racing Unveils Their First Car at PRI

December 9, Chico, CA--- The Old School Racing Champions Tour (OSRCT) along with racing legends Jack Ingram, Dave Marcis, and Larry Pollard unveiled the first race car out of the stables of Old School Racing today at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Orlando, FL.

The OSRCT car, reminiscent of one that David Pearson used to pilot in his hay-day, carried a gold No. 21 on the sides and the OSRCT logo on the hood. The unveiling was the official announcement of the Old School Racing Champion's Tour into the racing world. The car that was unveiled is set up identically to the vehicles that will take to the track when the green flag flies on the inaugural OSRCT season in May of 2008.

The OSRCT race car is stocked with a crate 450 horsepower engine and has 105 inch wheelbase. In addition the OSRCT race car also has removable nose and tail pieces that will make for quick and easy repair at the track.

“This is a huge day for us,” said Norm Weaver Managing Partner of the OSRCT. “To see the first race car unveiled and have some of racings biggest names do the honor just shows how huge this series will be.”

Having the car unveiled at the PRI show makes this even bigger for us. This is the largest racing trade show in the world and there was no better venue to unveil the first OSRCT hot rod.”

NASCAR racing veteran Randy LaJoie has headed up the safety initiatives on the OSRCT race cars. He has been responsible for much of the design and safety implementation the car currently has. LaJoie will continue to work to make the car the safest possible for the drivers, crews and fans.

“Safety is priority number one for the OSRCT,” added Weaver. “We want to make sure our drivers feel safe in each and every car that we put on the track.”
