PRESENT---

September 15, Westfield, MA--- Like usual, the SK’s did well one week and couldn’t follow through with that same thing the following week.

When the green flag dropped it was the front row of Rich Pallai Jr. in the #2 and the #1 of Willie Hardie battling for the lead. Within the first lap, both Pallai and Hardie held the lead. By the time they crossed the start finish line it was Hardie in the lead. As Hardie settled into the lead, Pallai had to hold off everyone else. On lap six, the first of seven cautions flew.

Again I found the drivers to be racy awfully early--- which I think is one of the main reasons why there were so many caution flags throughout the race.

When the green flag came back out Hardie was challenged for the lead by the # 3 of Jeff Malave. But on the next lap the caution came back out. So that put Malave and Hardie side by side again. When the green flew again Hardie was able to regain a secure lead. Hardie though was only able to hold the lead until lap fifteen. On lap fifteen the #97 of Frank Rocco was able to capture the lead.

As the race went on Rocco was able to hold off many challenges from the rest of the field. Rocco went on to take down the win.

In the Late Models it was the #10 of Wayne Coury Jr. taking the lead early. As Coury settled into the lead, second back was battling extremely hard. Even though the whole field, except for the leader, was two by two I couldn’t help but watch the battle for second. Those involve with that battle were the #38 of Mark Lewis, the #64 of Michael Bennett and the #48 of Woody Pitkat. Managing to take second was Bennett. After a lap five caution things started to change, dramatically. Going into the lead was the #17 of Jim Peterson. Behind Peterson was the #94 if Dillion Moltz. Still running in the third spot was still Bennett. On lap twelve Bennett finally took the lead from Peterson. After a few more cautions and many challenges for the lead Bennett went on to take down the win.

The SK Lights saw the # 38 of George Nocera Jr. taking the lead over the #18 of Kyle Spencer. On lap one though the caution flag flew, which put Spencer right up on Nocera’s tail. On the restart Nocera was able to jump to the lead to the lead while second back was racing side by side. By lap eight the field started to settle down. On lap ten the caution flag flew for the second time. This was great news for the #29 of Chris Matthews. On lap twelve Matthews was able to take the lead. As the race went on Matthews started to walk away from the field. When the race was said and done it was Matthews taking down the win.

Matthews was also able to clinch the 2007 SK Lights Championship.

In the Limited Late Models it was Joey Ferrigno in the #87 taking down his first feature win.

Also taking down his first win in the D.A.R.E Stocks was the #8 of Don Wood
